  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

They presumably do to the cognoscenti, 'davidwf15', but obviously not to the average lay person such as you or I.

I did various contracts for a number of motor manufacturers over the years when I was working, and found that one quite quickly becomes familiar with their in-house jargon and verbal short-hand, but I have never seen anything quite like this! If it is important to you, I would suggest that you contact Volvo and ask them if they can provide you with a key.

It's not just new cars though, I remember a time when cars were advertised as having RSB, RWW, HLWW, ABS, PAS, CC ('C' for 'cruise' or 'climate' - take your pick!), etc., when such things were a novelty and seldom found on run-of-the-mill cars. Much of that went over my head even then!
