C30 1.6D - eloys tank

I'm told that the eloys tank on my 2007 C30 1.6D is knackered (not just empty) and needs replacing.

Dealer price is around £400 and I was quoted £280 for a second hand part by an online car breaker!

I'm going to explore second hand a bit more. My question - does anyone know if it is the same eloys tank in similar age Ford/Peugeot 1.6D cars and whether they are interchangable?

Good morning

I had the same issue a month ago

You have to use only the one of Volvo

I have just replaced mine with a new one

I have bought it new on line from an independent Volvo spare part dealer I will not recommend a second hand one because you will still have a part that is 10 years old

Liquid has to be replaced as well

Then you have to connect the Volvo Dice In order to set up the new tank

It is very straight forward DIY task bit messy though (2 people are needed )

if i remember 5 speed gearbox you have a tank 6 speed you dont

All c 30 with PSA engine 1,6 liter engine have the EOLYS tank
