Default 240 Front door stays

Does anyone know if there is a way of adjusting the tension of the papergrip shaped springs which operate the front (and back) door stays on a 240.
Everything is greased OK, and the little toothed wheels are free and turn, but the stays are weak, and the springs are only just touching the toothed wheels when the doors are fully open.
Is there an adjustment anywhere?

Ther are no adjustments to these, if they are aproblem the springs are probably broken (out of sight). You will have to replace the complete hinge/s

Quite right - no known fix, but they are all the same IIRC, so some swap the least used one with the drivers (usually offside rear).
