How to remove 940 dashboard?
I want to take the dash out my 940 but no matter how many bits I undo it just is not budging!!
Is there a guide anywhere on how to remove the dashboard (and I mean the entire thing, not just the clocks) Cheers |

kjet.org has a greenbook that tells you how to take the 740 one out which might be of help to you.

LOL!! Well be prepared for much cursing and swearing!
You need to remove the steering wheel shroud, the steering wheel, the stalks, the bit the stalks mount on to too as well as the glovebox. There are bolts on the sides of the dash which you need to remove the A pillar trim to get to. You also need to remove the dials and the heater controls too. Remove the trim that's on the underneath of the dash and there are some bolts from the footwell too on the side by the bottom of the A pillar. Just hunt around and see what you can remove, keep tugging on it, see where it sticks, and then see if you can find a bolt or screw there. Removing the heater pipes are the hard part though, it's not easy to get it out, but with a bit of patience it can be done. I wouldn't wanna try putting it back though! |

Thanks, it was the A pillar bolts I'd missed. Trying to get the loom detached from the underside of the dash while balancing it all on my knees as it was getting dark was also fun.
