‘17 wheels don’t fit my ‘20 XC60 😕
Today I decided to fit the winter wheels and tyres that I used on our ‘17 XC60 D4 se lux Nav, onto our ‘20 XC60 Momentum, BUT they won’t fit !!😕
The tyres are the same size on both cars 235/60/R18, but the brake callipers on the ‘20 XC60 is different and it actually touches the wheel stopping it seating properly 🤔. Shame because they’re a nice wheel and the Nokian winter tyres are great. Might anyone on here be looking for a set of wheels for a ‘17 XC60 or earlier ?? £300 for wheels £500 for wheels & winter tyres

Did you consider a cheap set of spacers?

Wasn’t arguing with that, that makes it a cheap and quick fix, I was trying to point out that you can’t just swap wheels because they are the correct size. There is a little more to think about, that’s all.

I agree that offset is important and you should always try and get the same offset as the original wheels as that maintains the original suspension design dimensions. However, that does not ensure a wheel will fit.
Two wheels can have exactly the same size parameters but not be compatible with each other because of the wheel design. So one wheel might have spokes that curve outwards and one may curve inwards and interfere with brakes for example. Also, I do not agree that spacers are a cheap fix. For a proper set of good quality hub-centric spacers you would expect to pay £100 - £150, plus another say £50 for longer bolts. The cheapo boy racer spacers peddled on ebay for a tenner should never be used as the wheel is centred only with the wheel bolts.

I’m interested - would you be prepared to ship to S Wales?
