Default 1/4 Scale Amazon Body Model

Yup, that's correct, a 1/4 scale Amazon body model.

Long story short, I met a design manager from the Volvo styling studio in Gothenburg whilst living in Sweden. They took a plaster of paris mold from one of the original Amazon clay models for me and made the copy in fibreglass. I had to make a generous donation to the apprentice Christmas fund for it.

I've had the model for nearly 15 years now. It's been in my loft the whole time as my house is not big enough to display it. The last picture, gives you an idea how big it is.

If you are interested, let me know.

Price £250.

You might remember her if you think back.

She'd kill me if she knew that I'd used her photo.

Really wish I had the cash to buy this!

I'd want to take a mould from it and make pedal cars for the twins, before completing the original as a display model.

It is a lovely thing, but man, it's big.

Not concerned by the size, just the lack of sufficient cash... There are always ways to store / display these things. I already have a 1:5 scale car clay styling model, and also a 1:18 scale model of an 84' sailing yacht whose hull is 1.4m long and about 2m high keel base to mast top. The design of each and also the building of the models is all my own work. If in a glass case, the Amazon would make a nice coffee table or side board

Hi Paul,

This model is still a bit big for my pad. I live in a small cottage at the moment. I did consider putting it on the wall somewhere but not sure that that would work. It does need building up really.

It sure is! The model car is no dwarf, either.
