WTD: V70 Nivomat shocks x 1 or x 2
Wanted good used Nivomat rear shocks (one or two) for 1998 V70 T5. Presume any taken from an R car, AWD or Estate Pack cars will do.
Thanks |

AWD nivomats are different. They are totally unique to the AWD!

Hi
One obvious difference is that the AWD shocks are retained by two bolts at the bottom (going vertically upwards) Non-AWD have an acorn nut which retains the ring at the bottom end of the shock onto a horizontal tapered pin. I dont know about Rs Hope that helps. Steve

SS has it right, 4WD is a different animal.
For reference if 2WD you want: 8626028 / 9173368 D39 6992 NH29 SACHS SACHS# 444 213 Some get a Purple Label Found on the go-faster variants, 'Estate pack' and Bifuels too. Silly price new, which is why I've collected these. Tempt me to let one go from the stash, tested and decent. If serious, ask your wallet to PM what it wants to pay or swap a strut-brace? Beds/Bucks borders.

There's a used set on ebay as we speak. New, you'll fetch for £8-900. That's a lot. Your PM indicates you're better to remove them and replace with std. grade. You'll need to change the springs and mounts too. Nivomat springs sold on eBay might help the pain of buying the other bits.

I did this on my V70R. Lesjofors springs, standard shocks and new mounts. Easy and much, much cheaper! If the idea of fitting standard shocks alarms you, they are fine with the uprated springs and I certainly don't drive mine like I stole it....
