Another D5 Timing Belt Guard Topic -FREE DIY!!
Browing Internet came across this DIY Solution for Timing Belt Guard.
This info will be usefull for people, who claim it's too expensive, I am paying lot for just piece of metal and couple bolts, I can do it myself and better, bla bla bla. See photos attached. GO! ---- Last edited by Element888; Mar 20th, 2016 at 13:46. |

Offers no protection at all, if a belt hits that it will just bend it into the timming belt. A piece of flimsy tin riveted to plastic, waste of time and effort! Much prefer your original post.

My belt guard from element 888 arrived this week, thank you. Have not fitted it yet, hopefullythis weekend weather dependant. It certainly looks a substantial bit of kit. Hopefully I shall not have to put it to the test but am very happy with the item and in my opinion well worth the cost. Again thank you for going to the trouble of making this available to other members.
