Default Drivers window catching rubber

The glass on the driver's side window keeps catching the rubber seal as it comes down. Around a year ago I scrapped the inside of the seal with a blade and sprayed with wd40. This stopped the catching but left streaks on the glass

Now it's catching again.

Is there a more permanent fix? Replace the seal?

yes you need to replace the seal strip the felt will have worn off the running edge inside resulting in glass to rubber contact . high friction !

On mine I just cut a thin strip off the inner strip, about 20cm long, it was bending and catching the glass. Works fine now. Again, on the inner one.
