Default Autodimming Rear view Mirror w/Compass Part No?

Hey guys.

My S40 is an 09 without the rain sensor, anyone know which Autodimming Mirror with Compass I'd need? A part number would be great or even if someone has one for sale.

I know they're a bit of a silly upgrade, but I really fancy the look of them

I don't think you can change them as it's part of the immobiliser system coded to your own car.

Although I don’t have any part numbers, I know this has been covered and done many times over on another forum I’m on.

It can indeed be done, and from memory it’s plug and play. I’ve not heard of it being connected in to the immobiliser, but then I could be wrong.

Prob best to google it, I’m certain you’ll find what you need.

Good luck, and let us know how you get on.

The mirror is the receiver for the key fib and the TPMS ( if fitted). It thus has to be the correct frequency for your area 315 MHz for USA and Japan, 443 for other countries. It is coded to the car I believe.

Some people are adamant they are plug and play on P1 cars (P2s definitely arent)... others say it needs coding.

So, I managed to find a mirror with everything I wanted and got it fitted up fine (finding the wires were a nightmare!) But now I'm left wondering, do I need a bigger mirror trim piece? It seems like the one I took off my old mirror is just a bit too small to fit the new wiring and what not? Or am I just doing it wrong?

The part number for the mirror with Autodim and Compass was 30799777 for anyone wondering.
