Default Update

Hello everyone,

A quick update...I changed the resonator box for one of the aftermarket silcone hose types (link above in previous email) and have had no issues since.

Completed out annual South of France trip with no issues at all. I have upgraded the jubilee clips with some stainless clips with a wide band so that I could get as good a connection as possible.

I changed out the plastic pipe inderneath at the same time as both the clips on mine had broken.

Simon.

Cheers Simon,

I too changed mine approx 8 months ago. Ive been to Holland and back, Cornwall and back and just about to go to Berwick and back, all towing a caravan, and no issues.

Slightly louder growl but its nice to hear !

Just to confirm- you've changed the resonator box AND the plastic pipe it connects to underneath? Can I ask where you sourced the lower pipe replacement please? TIA

Default Turbo pipe seals

When you replace resonator box with silicon pipe, do you still use the two red seals or are these surplus to requirements and discarded.

With some big jubilee clips. I used two on each end to make sure its double air tight and doesn't blow off when I clog it. Im like that that tho. Belt and Braces.

Hi,

Newby question here (and sorry for resurrecting an old thread).

Is the pipe in the first picture in the first post supplying air from the intercooler to the turbo, or from the turbo to the intercooler?

This is my first turbo diesel and I'm trying to figure out the way the intake/turbo/exhaust system works and how the components relate to each other.
