I will discover this treat again. Vol-FCR is reading data from SRS (in my car) To connect this you need simple VAG cable (for usb ftdi drivers) Do not ask for link... uncle google is your mate. |

Ezk?
Is anyone else finding that, after building the pulse code reader, they get no reading from the EZK, although the readings from the ECU work?
My first assumption was that the EZK must be faulty, so I changed the EZK. Still not reading. Any ideas? |

I recently put this on my brother's laptop:-
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261474487029 and he has had luck with the abs giving which sensor was faulty, I'll ask him tonight if it read any srs codes. On here :- http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/faq/ElectricalSRS.html it mainly mentions pre 1992 under bonnet stuff not the connector in the arm rest .

Thread resurrection!
I've got a b230 fk engine from a 1997 Volvo 940 transplanted into a Volvo 240. Having some trouble getting it to run properly so think it's time to build a code reader. I'll follow the instructions earlier in the thread and build a DIY code reader - but how do you use it? And can it be used to reset the codes as well? as an added complication, the wiring loom isn't transplanted from the 940, so I don't have a pre wired obd port. I'm following the wiring diagrams here: http://www.volvowiringdiagrams.com/v...940%201995.pdf And on page 14 there's the obd connector with four connections, one from the ezk, one from the ecu, one live and one ground - not too hard to replicate. Do I need anything else? All pointers gratefully received S. |

What wiring loom do you have then?
If it's the original 240 LH2.4 loom it should have a code reader built-in to the engine bay loom I think. Next to the strut on the left side on mine. |
