The source is U.S.NEWS rankings and reviews.
So please enough bragging on German cars, their reliability these days are down the drain.
Fair point but afraid the XC60 can't compete against the X5 now the X3 well that is a different story.

Just to come back to the original question we recently had quite a bad experience part exchanging a 14 Month old C30 1.6 Drive (SE with extra's). We paid new just over £19k and with much arm twisting managed to get just 13k back for it. That's a drop of 30% in just over a Year.
I hope you do better with your XC90...

Correct, but CX90's wife does not like XC90s, he is looking for an alternative.

Yes but alternitives in the same class (by the sounds of it) which the XC60 is not

If you have a closer look you will notice that Brodick actually owns an XC60, so I think he ought to know how it compares to the competition

I have already noticed that, and the reason I am sending it to him, is to feel good about his investment, as opposed to flashy, yuppie's BMWs.

For what is worth we already have an XC60. It is very good.

Fortunately, I don't care what people think of me. I think it is more important to drive a car you want!

I looked at the 90 before getting the 60 and IIRC the Exec was circa 42k.There were discount deals on it though.I think its a matter of what you would be happy receiving for it.Always best to go in high and take a reduction, although I would suggest, (if it were mine) 30k

Regards
