Question D4192T4 (2001) HELP! its ruined!

OK, I have searched, and haven't found an answer (insert sad face).

My car starts on the button from cold, and runs well. Once its warm, even slightly warm, it will have to be left to cool for 3-4 hours before it starts again.

The starter goes, but the engine doesn't start. The fitted fuel hand pump appears to make no difference, its soft, I pump until its firm, and then some, after a failed start or two, its soft again. Once the engine is running, it's soft. I do not need to do this on a cold start.

The glow plug lamp lights up on cold starts, for 1-2 seconds, and doesn't when warm, I understand this is normal, as compression ignition doesn't require heat when warm.

I have heard a few possibilities...
  1. Camshaft Position sensor fault
  2. Fuel pump deceased
  3. Some injector issue
  4. Air lock in fuel system

I cannot locate a clear fuel line to confirm air in fuel, but can hear fuel movement through the hand pump.

Also, my local indie does not have the diagnostic software for this, and I can't afford to have the whole lot done.

This fault is harming my work, and possibly the most annoying fault ever, if I need to refuel, its a three hour visit to gas station...

HELP PLEASE THANKS!
