It is held in place by an omega shaped spring, this one: http://volvoklassiekeronderdelen.nl/...19&language=en
There is a special tool, but usually you can remove the spring with a hooked steel wire. The base of gas pedal is rubber, pressed onto two steel "hinges", swivel points. Pull towards you and it will pop off. Maybe add a drop of oil before. |

Thank's for help. Ther's nothing here in this part of Portugal. BTW looking at floor felt renewal. any good ideas? I have a couple of rolls of rockwool insulation in garage and was wondering if that might be a good alternative as it won't absorb moisture. Also looked for round pancake chrome airfilters for SU carbs but couldn't find anything.
I SHALL RETURN.

Ok here are a few pic's to start with. The car is now immobile so I couldn't get a full side pic' due to space restrictions. The consol is out and carpets etc lifted.Next to start cleaning up floor pan.

Hi, trying to lift out rear seat cushion and nearly got a hernia. Are they screwed down or just a very tight fit?

Well, work is coming on a pace. Got footwells cleaned up and corrosion exposed, the rot in the footwell seems to be over the cross member. just need to wait for welder to find time to cut out rot and fix in new panels. All trim removed. How to remove headlamp unit. Do I undo the three nuts or remove the knurled adjusters and screw them out?
