  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

The 230k engine was designed by heron racing, it has a higher detonation threshold than a standard engine so can be run at higher c/r, volvo in a strange twist mated it with a pretty dire carb, it was fine when new but by volvo standards wears out very quickly.

Just to confuse matters further volvo called the middle production b230 block the k block.

Do you mean the engine or the carb? I know the 230K's are prone to piston slap but seem to be good for around 200K as long as the timing belts hold.
