starting
Hi my V70 2.5 Torslander (98) is having some problems starting from cold. It takes one turn of the key but onc you have turned the key it takes about ten/fifteen seconds to start. Once the engine is warm the car will start first time all the time.
So is it because it is just to cold at night? or is it because it was on LPG when I arrived at home/work and the car has sat over night/ all day at work and the petrol is trying to get through the system to start? The car always starts on petrol until the engine is warm. Many thanks Andy

I suspect your problem maybe unrelated to the LPG and would advise you get the error codes read to pinpoint the problem

i've always found that volvo's dont like it if you dont start them first time.
normally our catch's first time, if it misses for some reason, it then takes a few seconds of churning before it catch's and its generally a bit grumpy for 10 or 20 seconds after that, then all is well again (or as well as it gets with ours!) |
