Angry Shock

Week ago noticed that headlight washer near side was not siting properly phoned Volvo garage was booked in today 15, for them to have a look at the problem, shock to be shown and told that it had been hit and DRL broken, bracket behind broken and CPU case shattered + bent wing and scuffs to bumper, so now have minimum bill of about 600 pounds just to replace broken parts and car will not be ready till Tuesday next week, so got to see if there is any CCTV footage at work now, when i can get in as there loan cars fully booked for next 2 weeks real bummer.
Also for you Volvo fans what is you local dealers Hourly rate, mine stands at £100.00 PH.
so looks like I am due a hefty bill on this new car.........

Surely they have their own bodyshop (or associated bodyshop) in my experience the rates per hour are lower than that...

Volvo don't do body shops, they just fit new parts and then arrange for a spray job. Even if the owner has his own body shop, it won't save you anything. 100 quid is the going rate in a city, but should be around 75 quid out in the country or well up North. I had to pay 97 Euros per hour in Southern (Very expensive compared to Poland) Germany.
It's one expensive idea to let a stealer repair a damaged car if you don't have fully comp insurance. If you do have a new car and can't afford full comp, then fit your own cameras. I got a minor ding a few years ago from a tow truck trailer, BUT I could not prove it and they just drove off. I was the only witness, so no point calling the Police.

I said or "associated bodyshop",my dealership actually do have their own bodyshop one was seeking the "they" to imply in relation to the dealership NOT Volvo in regards to ownership.

In regards to rates per hour for servicing yes many around my way are that high, but in many cases the bodyshops I have found to be somewhat a little less.

In regards to bodyshop despite being connected with a dealership mine have done excellent work on a few cars of ours and mine is going to them again soon to resolve some damage on a door. Pointless going cheap on paintwork (but there is also going to high) end of the day prep is everything.
