Winter Tyres on Convector Alloys
I have a set of 16" Convectors in excellent condition with Kumho KW23 winter tyres (205/55VR16), plenty of tread life (6mm). I was planning on fitting them on the C30 for this winter, but I could be tempted by a sensible offer. They have been stored covered, to protect them from light, and on a stand, to prevent flat spots.
Ideally I'd like to get £400 for the set because the wheels are in excellent condition and the tyres are very good as well, but I am open to offers. Any questions please contact me, either message or phone (07710 619981). I'm open to offers on the bits. The wheels are in St Ives (Cambridgeshire), but I'm often near Warwick so could drop them off. |

did you buy them as "new" take offs including summer tyres from Johnstones Solihull for £360 delivered like I did?
Your price seems steep. |

That's phenomenal deal - of the century almost- when I bought a new set of wheels the Volvo dealer wanted £200 per corner for original Volvo alloys and £90 each for a Michelin or Goodyear tyre. So effectively Johnstones gave you the alloys for free. I'm not used to such generosity from Volvo dealers. They must have needed the space.

They sold them through here, several sets in 2009 or 10 I think. Choice of Michelin or Continental tyres. At £360 delivered it was worth it for the tyres alone. It wasn't my intention to **** on your advert although I guess it may seem like that.

6 years ago, long time before I bought the V50, let alone the C30.

Long time ago! But are they still for sale.......or have you used them. I have a 2011 1.6D DRIVe SE LUX with convectors and I'd really like some winter tyres. I live in Sussex, near border with Kent.

No longer for sale! Collected them 10 days ago. Alloys are in fantastic condition and tyres used but plenty of tread. Can't wait for the snow (not)!
