I didn't - a mate ordered them online for his car, several months passed until we had a chance to fit them, found they were the wrong size, then bought the correct size from a local place.
When he tried to return the 305's they refused as too much time had passed.
They've sat in the garage ever since!

Ha-Ha, I remember the thread regarding flamboyant rotor measuring techniques.

To the OP: Removing a wheel is necessary for a hard measurement.

Take two 50cm pieces of flat wood like furring strips and hold them in a "V" shape with a clamp. VOILA', and instant big caliper.

NOTE: Two 20" pieces of furring will do.

I'd echo the physical measuring of the discs or if there are choices, buy them all and return what you don't use. Fell foul of that with my P1 T5 where both the dealer and my trusted factor said it had 286mm discs, transpires it had 302mm discs and so a debate ensued on line... with most saying it had been changed at some stage however it then transpired that on some random chassis break point on a certain year, there were cars fitted with the larger discs from the factory but for some reason it didn't reflect on the spec. So yes, always double check as stripping it down to discover they're wrong then getting the bus is a pain in the arse!

I went through these hoops last year.

With a 17" Orestys wheel and 305mm discs, I have a vertical measurement of 38mm between the outer edge of the disc and the inside of the wheel rim, measured using a piece of 2" x 1" (wood) held horizontally and marked with a pencil.

No responsibility if this doesn't work!
