Default Warning message .....

Hi,

Was just driving home and a warning message came up:

“Engine system service required” with the yellow caution triangle.

Car drives normally & is showing 5 months & roughly 7k before its first service.

It’s a 2017 XC60 D4 AWD with 11k on the clock.

Any ideas as to what I should do? Is it ok to drive? I guess I call my nearest dealership on Monday.

Thanks - Rob

Is it 12 months from first registration?
Mine came on then and was just an oil service.

That’s a good point - car was registered 30th June, but not PDI’d until 23rd Oct when I bought it as a pre-registered car. The car says 5 months / 7000 miles to service ."?....

Supplying dealer says no - the car reckons it has 5 months left before service anyway.

She’s booked into a dealer on Thursday, so fingers crossed & I should only have to drive a total of three journies between now and getting to the dealer. My 2 nearest dealers couldn’t even look at it without a courtesy car for at least a week - so I’ve gone a bit further out and got one without a courtesy car for Thursday.
