Default Xc70 /V70 /S60 headlights

As the above models are look pretty much identifiable and are of the same model year (2005, 185bhp), are the headlights interchangeable between models?
I’ve just taken delivery of an XC70 ( love the comfort) but the headlights are a little hazy. The dealer polished them up a bit, but still not as pristine as I’d like. eBay isn’t showing much love for parts labelled explicitly XC70....

I'm PRETTY SURE they are interchangeable but you want to hear from someone who KNOWS.

You could ask at a yard as their books include parts coverages or look up the parts yourself and see if they match.

I'm afraid all headlights from 04 on start to haze over. There are kits on ebay to clean them up but you need some patience. It's because they are some sort of plastic not glass like they used to be.

You'll need to stuck with 2004 on (plastic 'glass'), not sure if xc70 and s60 are the same, though

Assuming the lenses are plastic all you need is baking powder and vinegar. Mix them together into a paste and apply to the lenses. Then polish off and you have new headlights.

Hi Jasmith44, sorry I should have expanded. Apply the paste to the lense and rub in a circular motion for a few minutes.Re-apply more paste several times until you can see and feel the lense is clear. Polish off with a hand held clean cloth.

I like the vinegar and baking powder trick. Another good one for polishing clear plastic is toothpaste to start with then buff up with Brasso metal polish. Sounds bonkers but many years ago as a dental technician apprentice, we polished new dentures using pumice powder and Brasso. Works a treat on clear acrylics.
