Suspension mods to a 440 Turbo.
Hi Guys... and Gals,
I'm gonna sort the suspension out on my 440 CD Turbo (N reg 95). Whenever I put my foot down, the front of the car rises up and the boot dips down. ( As does any car if you're hammering it !!! ) I'd like the car to remain level on hard acceleration, so that's when I like turn to you nice people for some friendly advice. Whats the best option; 1. Keep the present ride hight and simply stiffen the suspension. or 2. Fit a set of lowering springs all round. Any views or advice would be great. Cheers now. |

Hi.
Suffice to say that no car will remain completely level when you accelerate, however I would say go for a set of sports springs and uprated dampers which will also have the added benefit of lowering the chassis. Cheers, Dan. |

Another little mod that can help with stability is the torsion bars.... see if you can find some uprated ones, but remember you'll have to do both front and back !
