That would be me.

I waited a while, after taking delivery, to get a feel for the car without Polestar.

I read the comments of members of this thread, both for and against, but opinions were divided.

While my car was in for it’s 3 month courtesy inspection, I decided to have Polestar added.

The upgrade is not intended, as has been noted her many times, to give a pure power boost, but the difference it made to the car was subtle, but noticeable. Everything felt tighter and more responsive, from gear changes, throttle response and general dynamics.

But here’s the thing, if I didn’t have the spare cash (£695 in my case), I probably wouldn’t have gone for it. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t regret it, but it is very expensive, and as I’ve stated here before, should be added as standard, as a drive mode, to what is an expensive motor.

Took some finding (esp. in English!):

https://aazor.com/switzerland/volvo-...oost-function/

But no mention on the official Polestar site...

I did read on some web site that those that have had Polestar in 2018 will have a free upgrade to the latest overboost version. That’ll be me then. I’m very happy about that and wonder if it will get me up that hill another 10mph faster within the 20 seconds of extra power.

Is there a way you can tell you've got Polestar software loaded?

I never drove the car before the load so have no idea apart from the blue badge on the rear!

Have you got the certificate from Polestar?
Dealer should have given you instructions to register your VIN on P* site - then P* send you the cert. in a few weeks for confirmation.

Haven't got a certificate but I do have an invoice with it on!

There's no way via the car software to see?

Have an XC60 T8 - thanks!

Not that I’m aware of.
But registering your purchase on the Polestar site will get you the certificate to keep with your car documents which is their confirmation that it is official - and proves it’s real when you come to sell or trade in.

When I go to the Polestar site to register it says contact your dealer so will give them a quick call on Monday I think.

Need to get some sort of conformity document to send to TFL as well.

Shame I never drove the car without the Polestar upgrade have no idea now what the difference would have been.

Also there was talk of a specific Polestar mode on some cars but Im guessing not the XC60?

When the new S60 is released later this year, there is going to be a Polestar version if I remember correctly.

Also there are a range of electric Polestar branded models being released in the next year or so.
