I'd say its more likely an issue with the record not being updated or the service done outside the dealer network.

Can't imagine someone would look at the overdue service message for a year and not do something about it.

Again, having spoken to BMW and checked on a few mini forum, transpires it HASNT missed a service, perfectly normal procedure to service car 'on key', is using CBS servicing. One guy has an mcs which was not serviced till 24k miles and they refused to change oil because car said it didn't need it!! Crazy to my eyes.

Anyhow, just had a drive in it, what a fantastic engine, you would not know it was diesel, even around town. Gonna try and organise finance so we will see how we go...

Finance, unfortunately is not a forgone conclusion so no chickens are being counted as life has kicked me in the bollocks a few times to many. On the flipside, if it doesn't go through there is a nice old 600 quid 850 Volvo local to me..everyones a winner....

Caledonian, Cardis, all short arm deep pocket syndrome sufferers, along with our similar upland senary and mountains. As a Welsh man I feel very at home north of the border.

We have had our Mini for two and a half years and done 30,000mls and I have totally fallen in love with it. The build quality and driving is so much better than the Fiesta it replaced - not that that was bad as it lasted 17 years and covered 180,000mls without any major issue.

It is a worthy stablemate for the Volvos and I am sure you will enjoy yours.
