Stereo/DVD: - Will subwoofer Fit!

Hi,

I am looking to trade my v70 d5 for an xc90 due to space for kids etc. over the years i have managed to source a subwoofer for the v70 which is a very nice upgrade. Will this fit in to the xc? my worry is the third row of seats will foul it?.

The Volvo subwoofer for the XC90 goes in the rear left hand side behind the panel ... plenty of room unless you have the rear AC option ...

You are right!!!!
The sub will only fit in a 5-seat XC90, with no A/C for the third row.
Got a friend who installed it in his dealership.

we dont see 5 seat or FWD ones over here they are all 7 seat AWD , but the same rules apply for the Subwoofer :-)

I don't think you can install de Sub in a 7seater, as needs the space used by the thrid row A/C.

Yes the car can have one or the other not both but the rear AC unit is very rare in this country so odds are it will not have one so the subwoofer will fit :-)

thanks for all the replies. I am still somewhat confused..

i am correct in thinking that it does not fit under the load area as is my v70, but behind the l/h panel in the boot. if this is correct am i also to presume that my sub in the 70 is different. if so how much is the correct one and is it retrofit. i got mine of of fleabay for £80 it was a lot more at the stealer..

My XC90 has a subwoofer under the load area (where the spare tyre is).

I don't have A/C in the rear so I can not comment on this but I know mine is under the boot.
