Default Performance intercooler upgrade - worth it??

So im putting my V70R back together after a front end shunt and am replacing rad and intercooler whilst I'm at it. My current intercoolers side fixing fins have rotted and I'm considering replacing it with this: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F223201684818

I'm not really interested in getting the whole and expensive reverse piping kit and doing all that stuff, but just a slide in upgrade I might consider. So is it worth it, or should I just get another Standard one??

The standard intercooler is well up to the job unless you do a lot of track driving , I would think that cheaper intercooler has LESS cooling capacity as the standard one ... it doesn't look as tall . You do not get long enough on boost on the public road for the temperature of the boosted air to become a problem .

Is 160 quid considered cheap then for an intercooler!??! I can get a standard second hand one for 40 quid on Fleabay, so Ill probably do that.

Ditto the above, I 'm sure I asked the very same question some years back and everyone said standard is over engineered so upto the task.
