Default Finally joined the club!

Got my hands on a C70 Convertible yesterday. 2.0T GT.

Immaculate condition, only 57,000 miles on her too!

A few small oddities:

The soft top doesn't go all the way in by itself, it stops like a half inch from closing and I can see the material peeking out behind the rear headrests - it feels like it isn't folding the right way.

If I go round and gently push it past the rim of the compartment it'll go in, doesn't feel like there's any resistance so I'm not worried about breaking anything. Is there like a tensioner that I need to adjust or something here?

Also, when the lights are all on, I get that Orange bulb (!) warning sign showing - but I've gone round the car and it appears that all lights are on and working - so no idea why this is showing...

I think I'll enjoy this for many years!

Thinking of re-maping her, and want to consider a few other tune-ups.

Cheers!

Welcome to the club.

Most likely cause of the roof not closing properly is the elastic side straps have perished and the hood material isn't folding correctly. The hood material needs to fold in at the side so that it all folds and stores neatly in the storage bin, then the cover should close completely. A quick bodge is to replace the elastic with a bungy cord. Also there are two 'ski slope' stops on the base of the storage bin, they could have moved or distorted and not letting the hood drop down fully.

Thanks for the info - I'll see if I can dig out any videos on sorting it with bungies.
