Doesn't look too bad for the money, plenty of little niggles but at that price it's practically a disposable car.

40mpg on a run.... downhill..... with a following wind.... and your foot off the gas. Why do people put rubbish like that on their adverts, even driven gently "on a run" you'll struggle to get out of the low 30's on a T5.

Need to try harder then lol.

I got 31.5mpg coming back from Peterborough last week sat on cruise control set to the speed limits.

I have got more out of it (up to 43mpg would you believe) when I have been short of cash and coming back from a long trip. Admittedly it does make for a sleep inducing journey lol.

Day to day I get 22-25 depending on how bad traffic is. Stop-start traffic really kills the economy on these :-( Otherwise they can be pretty decent on economy, given their weight and engine, if you can drive them smoothly and have everything in tip top shape - especially tyres and tyre pressures.

Looking to sell my V70 (1997) T5 if interested. It`s a CD spec, so full leather. Engine has done 120k, well serviced throughout it`s life though. I`ve had it for nearly 3 years and it`s been serviced twice in this time, with a full stamped history prior to my ownership.

It doesn`t have an MOT at the moment. It failed on the ABS module, N/S/F shocker, handbrake and 2 tyres. I`ve put 2 new tyres on, and also have an ABS module and front shocker off an 1996 850 T5 you could take if needed. I was going to MOT it then sell it, but thought i`d see if you could be interested first.

Bodywork is OK. No rust, but a number of scratches and scuffs here and there. Plenty on the car to strip and sell the parts after you`ve had the engine.

I`m wanting £600 for it, let me know if interested.

Default Big Decision - For Sale 1997 R Reg S70 T5

Right, before I change my mind again...

For Sale

1997 R Reg S70 T5
Manual
Aqua Blue Metallic
Cream leather interior
129k miles
1 owner plus me for last month
Taxed until Jan 2011.
MOT'd until August 2011
Full history
Full electrics - everything works
New front discs/pads, new passenger headlight, new headlight wipers
Spare wheel/tyre and tools as new...
Few scuffs but nothing major. Lacquer peel on bonnet. No rust.

Only thing I have done is removed recirc valve and fitted a forge blanking plate, and replaced BCS hoses. Boost gauge and a pillar pod supplied (not fitted as yet).

Runs perfect, no knocks/bangs/rattles/smoke etc, and no warning lights

For sale as I just can't feel for the car like I did my T4 (sad I know, but there you go).

I paid £850 for the car last month and given that I taxed it and gauge etc, will let it go for £950 for quick sale (seen something else I fancy which won't be around long).

If it doesn't sell well, it may grow on me yet!!

Pics available if anyone wants.
