Default XC90 Now Sold

All,

thanks to everyone who has given me help and advice over the past 2 years of volvo ownership.

I have taken delivery of a new car, and a lot happier with it than the volvo. It may offer the luxury of a XC90, but has everything i need. It does so many things better then the xc90 but also does a few things worse. so it balances out.

If i was to have another XC90 again it would be a on a 3 year Lease deal but i would not buy one.

Steve

I have got a Subaru Tribeca, with nearly every option ticked from new. It 2 years old.

its only draw back is the petrol engine around town. manages 18 per gallon, but my xc90 only managed 26 round town.

Long journeys i managed 450 per tank on the volvo compared to 300 in the tribeca.

But the servicing costs are so much less.. around £150-300 every 12 months. The volvo was getting near to £900 per service + Repairs.

I sold it for 500 more than a paid for it 2 years ago. but they still does not give me back any of the 5000 repair bills i have had.. 9000 if you include the warrenty payments.

...ouch - that's a lot of bills.
Never really paid any attention to the Subaru tbh - I'll have a closer look when I next see one. Had my Volvo from new - best car I've ever had - certainly not had the expense you seem to have caught though. I can understand why you'd look around at alternatives. Good luck with it.

Cheers
Ian.
