850 lost reverse auto box

My L reg 850 auto box has lost reverse gear tonight it was rebuilt 6 months ago after the same probelm.

Can any body help ??

PNP switch poor contacts,
As a preventitive measure, once a month, run the gear lever through the whole range to clean the contacts.

It's on top of the gearbox, shaped like a quarter of a circle.

I know a lot of people refer to the PNP switch.

What does PNP stand for?.

Should it really be PND Park Neutral Drive :-)

Just a thought...
