Default CEM Protection

After a string of warnings, limp home mode and being recovered home I've cleaned up the CEM and everything is good again. I presume it was actually my wife knocking it with her feet rather than dirt tbh.

Has anybody seen or devised a protective cover or got any ideas on how to better protect it? Mainly from physical damage but maybe corrosion protection as well?

I'm considering getting an aluminium kick plate made or using some thick carpet.

There is OEM part for CEM protection, very often its not there/damaged by mechanics etc. Do you have it? or need more heavy-duty one?

I do although mine looks in much worse shape than that. I'm tempted to get an aluminium covers made for it tbh.

So yeqh more heavy duty. Is there one available off the shelf?

Isn't that just the carpet? I wouldn't call it "CEM protection", without that it's totally exposed or am I missing something?

Yes, its just a "carpet" but reinforced one (like thick cardboard layered with carpet) so it holds the shape and will take the force of a kick or something first on itself. Without this, you can see CEM from the ground and is just more opened to any damage.
For the price I paid for it (like 12Euros I think) it was no brainer.
