The rustbuster epoxy mastic is good stuff, I used it on my 360 restoration, but it does need a very clean and slightly rough surface, otherwise it does flake/chip off.

I use zinc paint (zinga) then epoxy mastic, then underseal over the top.

The factory 940 stuff is also very good, I hope you didn't remove the galvanisation layer. The 940 underseal is a semi solid very hard to remove, but you do get rust eventually.

Certainly didn't remove the galvanisation area as I only used a scraper and a hot air gun to get rid of the old stuff also where the original underseal was good I didn't touch it..
Just basically got rid of the loose old crap and then went straight over with the epoxy.. I also used a paint brush where possible as I didn't want to thin the epoxy paint as it works much better when brushed on ...

On the axle etc I used a needle gun to get off the rust and then painted it straight on ...

Gorgeous car. Lovely to see another 940 in Tropic Green Metallic, my car is all stock but otherwise identical to yours. I love my 940...quite possibly my favourite car I've ever owned.

People ask me if i have had it painted all the time, they can't believe it's a factory colour! i bloody wish i had held on to my 180SX!
