Most of the stuff I order has to come direct from Sweden. Real pain in the arse but at least they can get it unlike my local Ford dealer who looks blankly at his computer screen then says "ask the owners club?".

I guess that chap thinks the 745 oil fine for the M90 then i.e. fully synth is fine
Not sure which oil I got from Volvo. I just said I needed 2 litres of gearbox oil to change the oil in a Volvo 960 reg no XXXX XXX.

I dont know anything about him but volvo in UK say above that the
1161645 transmission oil is recommended for all model years of
types M45, M46, M47, M90 and M5M42 .. Things could be different if hes from a different market mind ...

EEK! Yep thats the one! Poor old girl, she was a heap of junk though. I dont think I could of bought a more mechanically worn out 960 even if I built it from worn out parts removed from other cars.

Aww, poor old Monty!!

Good job M90s are pretty much bullet proof!!

Christ, I give my 960 death and it still feels reasonably tight, yours must have had a hell of a life.

Mind you, I'm not surprised it was worn out really after dragging that tow bar around for years!! Lol

Sorry for raising an old post from the dead... Went to my local Volvo dealership and they gave me the 1161745, when I asked them about the 645 they told me that according to their system that the 745 is the recommended oil for the M90... So there's a heads up...

Bump. Anyone tried this? Delivery for the 75W-90 oil from Skandix is almost £100 all in. Anyone tried this oil with their M90?
