Ooooops I did it again
Hi all
I had to, I HAD TO!!! Yep, Saturday I travel to Surrey to pick up my 480. Not pics yet but I hope it is as good as it looks online I had one before and absolutely loved it. Did call around to verify its history and it is a genuine 1992 Turbo Auto with 52000 miles. Cambelt was changed in 2010 at 49500 miles. I will feel obliged to share pics on the forum as soon as I can. One thing, the rear lights are very foggy and I will look at replacing them, do you where I could find a set? Best Moi |

Having owned 480s for many years I always find that the mood changes from congratulations to condolences to outright commiserations and back again with worrying frequency. All part of their allure...

Allure?
Bahahahahahaha!! Seriously though, congratulations. I miss mine terribly and often look longingly at them on ebay etc. Rear lights... Skandix is your only choice for new units. Unfortunately, a pair will most likely be near enough what you paid for the whole car!

Aw, c'mon Steve - you know exactly what I mean. A 400 comes up and you can't resist at least thinking about it (just like me!)

Restore rear lights
Hi Im have been an Volvo 480 owner since many years back but I just recently got an new 480 Turbo and with that my interest has come back. Today I stumbled on this forum and found this thread.
There is actually a really good article how to renovate the rear light to look like new so take a look at this before trying to get new. http://www.volvo480center.com/servle...article&id=320 It's in swedish but I think google translate och Chrome will translate it good enough. This is my old Volvo480 article webpage that I got running again after 12years so there might be som issues with it Regards Jonas |
