I was always told it would be Sept end of. Two weeks ago the dealer said it should be delivered to dealer after 18th Sept so I never got my hopes up, especially after your delay.

I've decided to sit back and wait for the phone call to say that they have the car on their premises.
If I had stuck to the part ex option it would not be such a problem, but at least my cousin is happy.

My dealer had said 11/9, but emailed that day to say it hadn't shown up - however they did say it had appeared on their system as "en route" - and that means normally within 48 hours. True to form, it showed up the next day.

I'd ask the dealer what the system says.

I've just had a phone call from dealer, and guess what its been put back to arrive at the dealer on the 29th Sept, (what year I'm not sure).
Where do the dealers get their information from, Volvo presumable. He told me that Volvo don't give a reason for the delay, probably demand.
I just wish they wouldn't keep giving me the false lead times.

Sorry to hear that, I guess mine will be put back too. I'll contact them later.
Reading between the lines there maybe a problem with delivery times, perhaps something bigger, hope not....

It cannot be demand because they should be well after you not before. At least I now know what to expect when my turn comes. It was end of September put back to end of October then 20 October. I bet November at the least. Still don't much care now as I will have missed any decent weather. It definitely takes the edge of any excitement. Best of luck with your car delivery.

I just wish they had stuck to the original date of 12th October, then if the car turned up early give me a ring to say that it's arrived.

I am betting that Volvo have more important orders to fulfill, not necessarily in the U.K. Does it look like your dealer has a big turnover and important to Volvo or not so big? Just an idea. I would think the higher the spec and therefore the cost would be better value for a manufacturer to prioritise.

You have to laugh, I've just had an email from my dealer offering me a test drive of the New XC60 over the weekend. I have just replied that I would like to test drive the T5 version, so waiting for a time. It will be interesting because I haven't had the chance to drive a T5 XC60 yet, if I don't like it, I might just cancel, I hope that won't be disappointed.
