Default Instrument panel LED strip upgrade

So I've heard about this and got expert help after a very long thinking time resulting in no action. Very pleased with the result - now I can see what's happening - in the dark! I've a couple of instrument consoles spare if you fancy the upgrade and Jim at JBM Sport (road and race specialist) could give you a quote. Or you could drive around by candlelight.

Whilst that certainly looks nice, I got to almost the same point by replacing the standard candle power bulbs with LED 'bulbs' from eBay, which took moments and didn't require removal of the dash.

cheers

I'd find that very distracting, I have to turn my standard ones down quite a bit to make them visible but unobtrusive. To me that would be like driving around with the interior light on.........

If the LED were dimmable, they could be kept fully on to help find the steering wheel, and then turn down down down to a comfortable level?

One can buy little dimmers specifically for use with LED. I'm considering an LED strip for Switch Alley, but only with a dimmer.

Each to thei rown. I am pleased for you that your LED work for you geoffo.
