Default v90 rear vents suck, problem or normal?

so i noticed the other day that the rear vents in the v90 seem to be totally crap. it has the rear zone controls but changing the fan speed seemed to make no difference and the door piller vents at the rear spit out hardly any air at all. is this normal or is there soemthing wrong? ive never noticed before as i dont ever sit int he back.

it feels like its something wrong but i just cant see what could be wrong with it.

I find all the vents seem to be quite weak if you leave it in auto climate. That said it seems to work and the car is comfortable so I do just that and leave it in auto.

Have you tried max fan and select face level vents on the person graphic, then compare air flows front and back?

yes,i tried in the rear turning the fan speed to max, it made no difference i could detect. there is some air flow but its very low even at max, this is why i think there is something wrong but ive just never noticed it before.

selecting the face vents.....like for the front? no not tried that, i didint think anything on the front controls would have any effect on the rears but i will try in next time im in the car if i remember

Your car has a variant of the layout shown below. Not sure, but I reckon the B pillar vents (no. 28 in diagram) are probably fed from the front regardless of whether rear controls are fitted.

The rear centre vents are no. 15 and it's not obvious how the airflow for these is controlled whether by a separate fan (unlikely?) or flaps in the front which are controlled by the rear panel.
