V60 twin engine preconditioning problem
I wonder if anyone might be able advise please re preconditioning a V60 PHEV MY 2017? After 4 years of use the preconditioning does not seem to activate. One cold frosty morning this week I remotely tried to start the preconditioning using Volvo on Call whilst the car was connected to a charge point but nothing happened in terms of heat or defrost. The next evening I set the preconditioning timer in the car for 0730 the next day. The heating activated it seems without the heat and strangely came on at 0700 rather than 30 minutes later.
That day the car was in for annual service/MOT and I asked them to look at it but they reported nothing wrong. So I must be doing something incorrectly in terms of settings either in the car or via On Call although to my best knowledge I haven’t changed anything. Would welcome any advice please. Thanks. |

Solved - it was the second boost timer in the Zappi that was not configured. Nothing to do with the Volvo,

Just a quick related question, I thought the timer was to tell the car when you wanted it to be ready heated up for, not when to start heating ? I know there don't seem to be any instructions whatsoever that I can find for the app ?

Cull and Jeff, you are right I believe. That would help explain what I thought was an early start by the in car timer.
When I have used preconditioning it has generally been via VOC with a manual start using parking climate and of course it only works when the car is plugged in. I think my problem was with my Zappi charge settings whereby I had it set to Eco+ with boost to enable overnight charging on a cheaper tariff but no second boost to enable early morning preconditioning. I think I have resolved it now without needing to activate the in car settings. Thanks |
