Default Did the 740 facelift have the same front wing?

Ive bought a cat C88 740 GLE in great condition apart from the wing bumper and mirror, which are beyond fixing. Does anyone know if the wing shape changed at all on the facelift version?

No worries i thought they might be, and all the pre-facelift wings are down in London

Facelift 740 wings are i believe unique to the 740 facelift so if you can find some in good condition it looks like you may have to find a specialist courier - many won't carry used body parts due to the buyers and sellers opinions of "good condition" possibly being different..............

That sounds like a good plan! Either that or an idea i saw on another forum many moons ago where people who happen to be driving that way for work do a minor detour to collect the item and ship it either direct to you meeting somewhere convenient as they're working or to someone else in a sort of relay race and pass the "baton" (package/parts) to them to pass to you or another person who then passes it on to you.

If you knew of someone going close enough to collect then at least partway to Yorkshire you'd be at least some of the way there.

In short, definitive answer, a 700 Series facelift wings do not fit a non-facelift 700 Series. The leading edge (front) is a different shape.

We sourced a new wing for our S70 from a breaker in Kent a few years ago, and had it sent to our home here in Yorkshire without any problem at all.

The breaker packed the wing really well in the sort of box that's used for shipping bikes around. It arrived in perfect condition and bolted straight onto the car with absolutely no problem. The colour match (426 Silver) was nigh on perfect.

I think the breaker was in Maidstone, or possibly Ashford. I've also had parts shipped from Dumfries (awesometwosome on Ebay), and Norfolk Volvo Spares, and have never had difficulty at all.
