volvo 340 1.7 turbo

i am wondering if there is such volvo 340 model with this engine 1.7 turbo with carburettor ??? i have searched on internet but cant find much info about it . i need some technical data and performance figures if this car exists .
any help would be much appreciated

Hi, Volvo didn't make a turbo version of the 340. I think a couple of people have done the modification themselves (using the 1.7 turbo engine from the 400 series if I remember correctly). Anyway, if you want any info/help making mods to a 300 series car, your best bet is to head over to www.volvo300mania.com and have a look around the forum there.

thanks for your quick reply , i am not into turboing really .
just after the volvo 340 1.7 carburettor power specs.
do you know what bhp was the engine producing ?
