37 RUBY Master Member Last Online: Apr 24th, 2024 20:45 Join Date: Jun 2017 Location: Chesterfield	Rhythmic automotive NVH Hello I have a rhythmic resonance aka noise vibration harshness(NVH). 70 MPH in a straight line with a steady throttle on any surface, chippings or smooth tarmac always with less than half tank of fuel. So I guess that the fuel tank amplifies the noise. I feel it through the seat base and I can just hear it. I would describe it as a reoccurring pulsating deep hum and vibration that pulses to the count of three. It disappears if I go quicker or slower. Does not feel like wheel balance or drive-train. My uneducated guess is it could be the in tank pump...but that is exactly that, a guess. Car is a 2015 XC70 D5 Auto Awd. Run on premium fuel for over 50k. No DTC's. No issues with starting or running. Avg 36mpg but I don't hang around. Anyone experienced similar?
