sports edition sand silver damaged
Some little got has damaged my passenger door. Its a nasty crease which runs from front wing to passenger doors under the door trim. I actually think the mot testing station did it.
I just don't understand how you crease without scratching. Rant over my question Is was sand silver only used on sports editions or is it possible to a source second hand replacements in correct colour as I also need front bumper. Ideas suggestions please. |

You could try some of the breakers although they may not know the exact colour they have. The other option is to get another colour and have it sprayed. The better body shops have a paint matching system that matches the paint on the car to allow for fading etc. My 940 has one on the rear passenger door. I reckon it was a 4x4 in a carpark judging by the height. It hit the trim so didn't break the paint. The only Volvo breaker I know of is in Denny Scotland. www.headswood.com . Hope you get it sorted.

Try looking for the paint name as silver sand rather than sand silver.
I once had a 960 CD estate in silver sand so the colour was not limited to sports editions. Good luck in your search.

This might be of interest to you, and looks to be reasonably close. However, the passenger door already looks to have similar damage to what you describe.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volvo-940-...-/261876963815 Are you sure it's not a standard feature? Thinking about it my 940CD estate has a similar dent. I've always attributed it to contact with the running board of a 4x4 since I'm sure it occurred while unattended in a car park. |
