Default Not seeing one for a while....

I was hoping to see a demo XC40 mid December (about now) but local dealer says I need to wait until early Feb. Still no idea about finance options yet so I may be keeping the XC60 (classic...)

Spoke to local dealer and they had seen one at Volvo UK possibly Daventry but their demo would be 6 weeks. The trim finish on the dash did look poor on the Mat Watson video but hopefully that was just an early press car.

Similar messages from dealers I have spoken with i.e demo vehicles and dealership "launches" expected towards end February.

Fortunate enough (as a normal punter) to have seen one courtesy of Volvo UK. Apparently (and I forget the term used) a "pre-production test model" so not completely up to actual production standard, but nevertheless it looked very nice indeed. I'd say well worth seeing in the flesh, as no video/photo will give you the complete picture. I think many will be impressed - I was. Can't of course speak to how the thing drives :-(

Also won their test against X1 and Tiguan. Boot shape and height still to ascertain in the flesh but demos should be in shortly. Lease deals look a little pricey with some crossover with the best XC60 deals at present. Another 18 months this could be a very attractive car.

Default XC40 First Edition

Has anyone heard whether Volvo will withdraw the First Edition XC40 model spec when the rest of the model line is formally launched on the 22nd February? I would be really keen to find out (I'm awaiting a response from local dealer).
