Recommended Main Dealers

Hi All,

My wife's car (xc60, 2015) is now due a service and wanting to keep its service record pristine I would like to use a main dealer.

Having had a bad experience some years ago with a main dealer (not Volvo) can anyone recommend a good dealer around the midlands (Leicester, Derby Coventry, etc).

I use TMS at Hinckley and never had a problem, I would stay well clear of Sturgess in Leicester, both friends and I have had problems with them.

Thanks for the reply. They are the nearest dealer to me but had no dealings with them.

I use both Tollbar Volvo in Leamington and Paul Rigby Volvo in Erdington. They’re both good Dealers.

Yes, sales side are great but aftersales are poor. It took five months battling and repeat visits to get an issue fixed under warranty (the problem has come back again too). They seem very understaffed. Even with a basic service it might take several days to get your car back. Good to hear there are some decent dealers around though

That isnt a new story. Delighted to take your money, now shove off. Lots of car blokes are like that, they all learn their trade flogging bangers to idiots.
Now not all stealers are utter c\/ntz, some have manners, some were even brought up by their parents to say please and thank-you and not to chew with mouths full. Others seem to have been born on a building site.

Hi All,

Thanks for all the replies. I had the car serviced at TMS in Hinkley and was impressed with the level of work and care done.
Some additional work was required this was shown to me before repair and carried out with my blessing.

Service was quick and web based report on service available to browse.

Will be a returning customer.
