Default washers nozzles and wing mirror frozen this morning

I have the winter pack, and whilst I get why the passenger side door mirror was frozen in the folded position, and doors (as no lubrication on the rubbers).
I don't see why the nozzles should be, with (supposedly) heated nozzles, and 50/50 mix?

I live in the south, and this is the first cold snap, it was -4 at start out, but I'd driven 40 miles and the temperature was -1. Not much use if they can't cope with that! Sweden and Scotland etc, get much colder than that.

The seats and the heated windscreen worked great.

What temperature does your windscreen washer liquid cover, before adding water?
Most supermarkets, only have liquid that is suitable for -5C.

I use the windscreen washer fluid that Lidl sells and it is suitable for temps down to -60C.

Although the jets are heated the fluid in the bottle still freezes.

50:50 mix out of the window for me 100% washer fluid for me this time of year.

Better to spend a bit on fluid than not be able to see

I'll need to check that out. Foolishly I believed the dilution percentages on the label of the bottle. I don't remember the brand, but I also bought some from ALDI, so I guess that would be 'Single Malt' strength too. Worth topping up at a higher concentration level, there should be plenty of room, as the car drinks the stuff like pop.

Agree. I think -60C is a slight exaggeration, although isopropyl alcohol freezes at -89C so it could be a very concentrated mix. But from Lidl ?

It might sound silly but pure antifreeze freezes at a higher temperature than diluted antifreeze

best mix is around 65/35 antifreeze/water
