Agreed. Most music is transmitted at an amazingly low bitrate, a good deal is only in mono, and out in the sticks it's almost impossible to get through an entire track without it dropping out. I stream Spotify now.

31409953 AC - which was from a 2015 Polestar V40 but the software wouldnt work...

The MOST Off software worked but not the DAB software.

Anyone know the correct module DAB Module for a 2013 V70??
There seems to be loads of them on eBay but Volvo typically won't give out the part number only a Kit which is number 32270870

I can currently see these on eBay:

31427225 A - says V60 V70
31667912 - says V60 V70
31409951 - says V70 XC60 (2012 to 2018)

Need to keep going as still not there yet!

Don't rely on the part numbers with large letters.
Look at the HW: number in upper right corner.
The letters are smaller, but there are less variations.

HW: 31328586 looks like a common module for older Volvos, but it has been replaced with HW: 31667303.

For my 2012 XC70 I was advised to get a HW: 31667303.
I first tried a HW: 31667304 (from a XC60 2013), but this gave same problems as you experienced.

The HW: 31667303 module I am still waiting to receive is marked PN: 31667216.

Today Volvo was able to install software after I fitted the HW: 31667303 module (from 2012 S60) in my 2012 XC70, no problems.

When I came home I unplugged my DAB-module and plugged in another module with HW: 31328586 (from 2015 V60). It also worked great, without any new software.

At last I tried the old incompatible module with HW: 31667304 (from 2013 XC60). No fault messages, but not tuning any stations and no menu in DAB-display.

DAB can be good quality, but it depends on how much the radio station pays for the service.... a lot of obscure stations are lower bit rate and as you say some are in mono only. There are a few stations I listen to where I get a better quality sound from streaming it via an I-Phone through the I-Pod interface that DAB tuner.
