XC70: Suspension - 4C dampers

Hello forum folks,

just wondering if anyone has successfully found the XC70 4C dampers for sale at a cheaper price than they are available from Volvo?

I have found this website selling the Monroe dampers much cheaper than the Volvo parts but unfortunately they don't list the parts for the XC70.

Yep they are made by Monroe and are around a half the price of the Volvo badged ones.

Not sure if they are available/suitable for XC models with longer travel? Anyone??

Might be a bit late with this but I bought bought some 4C dampers from CES car parts, genuine MONROE for less than £200 each after discount Volvo wanted £550 each!

A friend of mine fitted these to his car and he said the ride was nowhere near as good as the Volvo ones- the ride was really bouncy.

What problem are you showing out of interest? Mine keeps coming up with 4C service required.

I'm currently looking for a damper for my 2008 xc70, from what I can tell only Volvo make and supply these, the monroe dampers are available for the older shape Xc70 pre 2007 I think.

Got a quote today, £565 for just the damper
