480 Turbo red around Norwich,anyone know him?

I recently spotted a beautiful red 480 Turbo in Norwich with a young lad driving it.It was J365 JGV,think numbers are right.It has the roof spoiler on the tailgate and some lovely alloys.I was wondering if this guy is a member or if anyone knows him as I couldn't pull him over at the time for safety reasons!!

I live in Lowestoft and i bumped into the lad you're on about on an American Website. Haven't spoken to him for quite a while now though. Don't think he uses this site. Did this 480 have a kind of exaggerated front splitter by any chance as well as the roof spoiler? If it is him, Dan is his name (quality name i might add!!). If it is the same one, you may be able to contact him via a chap called Dave who runs DBS Motorsport-he is a visitor to this site-and if it is the same person, Dave knows him as he fabricated/fitted the spoiler/splitter. He may be able to help you out, even sort you with a pic, as his 480 was on Daves website. If you have no joy, let me know and i may be able to get in touch.

Im only 25 miles down the road...if you know of any other local Volvo drivers, i'd be up for a meet or something-as long as there's a few of us (bear in mind im a boy racer though!!)

The red 480 used to be on here, but is no longer. However, you can see a price list on the homepage of this site. If you go to the "Gallery", there is a mini pic of a White 480 with the front and rear spoiler i believe you are on about. On the "Products" link, there is a list of things he can do, and he does the 480 Turbo front spoiler (the little plastic part you're after in the "Wants" section) for £35. You can email him to check it is the right part, but im certain it is. Just drop him an email and see how you get on. Ive posted a message on the Website where Dan (red 480) used to go-if he gets back to me i'll pass his message on.

Yeah I'm well up 4a meet up.I'm near Spalding/P'boro but visit me woman in Dereham half the week.I do about 600 miles a week in either 480.Got a black manual K-plate Turbo and a 38k white Auto (shame) Turbo.Selling the black manual for £1200 if you can convert a friend or yourself,yer Mum blah blah!.........
I dont know any other 480 merchants round here but know that I see ****loads of them in Norfolk.Mind you,I have noticed that none of them have **** **** Partridge painted down the side!!!!!!!!!!!

Have made contact with Dan, it is indeed him. I posted the link to this thread for him to read-wether he will post a message or noti don't know.

With r.e. to a meet, i thought you meant you lived in Norwich, hence the suggestion. It's a little far this side of Christmas, but perhaps in the new year-we could meet up-even get a few more people to join in, rather than just a handful of us.

I would like a 480, specially a Turbo, but i need to sell my 440 to get the funds-even then i want to strip all the good bits off it before it goes! I don't need to convert anyone in this household to Volvo's anyhow-its a kinda family thing. My old man has a Paris Blue Metallic 480 Turbo on a J-he's only the second owner, but he does know how to look after his car-it looks like it's just come out of the showroom! Open the bonnet and the engine doesn't even look like it's been used! He may be intrested in a meet, but its not usually his sort of thing. He needs some lower profile tyres first tho, before he comes anywhere wih me!

Test the water, or get IC to sort another one, he's good at that sort of thing.

This years meeting was great fun and good to see so many 480's together. If all goes to plan then next years' will have a lot more cheesewedges and of course the more the better.

ps I also have a 480 Turbo Auto 90' on a 'H' with new indicators (cost about £400) almost changed to leather. New MOT and recently taxed. Let me know if you are interested. Price approx £900.

Yep thats me. daniel pm'd me with this thread. Nice to know some people notice :)

Its been my youthful ambition to have a 480 since i were a nipper, so when l passed my test at the slightly mature age of 25 i immediately bought one. l have been spending my money on this thing for the last 2 years. Had a lot of work done to it. The spoiler(s) are Dave DBSVOLVO work, and the alloys are Image 16" split rims made to order.
