Default 13 year old XC70 purchase advise please

Advice please.

I am not new to Volvo and have had my 2006 S60 D5 for over 3 years.

Toying with the idea of having a punt on a 2000 V70XC 2.4 petrol auto with 56 k miles on and full history. It looks in vgc and no faults ( apparently ) are existent.

I am very competent mechanically should I need to work on it but should this be one to give a wide berth to or is it liable to be reasonably reliable.

I am after a good sized load carrier that take a dog and other bits and pieces , pull my caravan and not have much money tied up in it.

Darryl

Had one years ago good bus , no issues whatsoever bulletproof motor however rather gutless, having said that its about on a par with your D5 so you should not notice to much ,however would struggle to tow a tin hutch as it struggled with my 6m RIB full of dive kit on hills
